Welcome!
My fascination with pottery began at an Old Time music festival in the summer of 2021. While taking an evening loop around the campground, I spotted a collection of handmade mugs sitting on the hood of a car and some cash in a glass jar. There was a little note with the tone of “handmade, find one you like, honor system”— I picked up one of the mugs and I couldn’t help but feel two things, that these mugs were beautiful and just how cool it was that someone had made these. That memory is what ultimately sparked the idea to take a pottery class.
In the fall of 2021 I took my first wheel thrown pottery class with Jen McIntyre of McIntyre Pottery in Ammisville, Va. A few weeks later I bought a wheel to practice at home, and a few months later I quit my full time job to pursue making pottery full time.
I’ve become a familiar face at local markets where I showcase a range of hand crafted, wheel-thrown pottery, as well as selling my work locally in other small businesses in downtown Culpeper, Va. Throughout parts of the year I welcome those interested in learning about the process of wheel-thrown pottery into my home studio where I teach classes and find great joy in helping others discover the excitement of working with clay.
My wheel-thrown pieces are thoughtfully designed for everyday use, bringing a sense of warmth and comfort into your daily routines.
